Article Galaxy Scholar 

Through a partnership with the Oregon Medical Board (OMB), the OHSU Library offers an article delivery service to Oregon-licensed MDs and DOs who pay an OHSU Library Fee as part of their license fees. This service is provided by Research Solutions/Article Galaxy Scholar and It is funded by that MD/DO licensing fee.  

 

Setting up your Article Galaxy Scholar service

 

Step 1: Get an OHSU Library Account 

Apply for an OHSU Library account using the Library Account Application.  We will email you instructions for setting up your account password.

 

Step 2: Log in with your user ID (email) and password

It's a good idea to bookmark this link in your browser!  

When you reach the "Choose how to sign in" screen, select the third option for "Oregon Health Professionals."

 

Step 3: Find and Order Articles

Because there is a cost for articles provided through Article Galaxy Scholar, we encourage you to seek open source or no-cost versions wherever possible. See the "Free Resources" section under "Home" above for some options.

You can also search PubMed enabled with Article Galaxy.

 

Managing Your Account

The Article Galaxy Dashboard allows you to check the status of orders, edit delivery profiles, share feedback, and get help.

Limitations

In order to provide access for all Oregon-licensed MDs and DOs to this service, we have established certain limitations.

  • This service is limited to articles costing $80 or less. Articles that exceed $80 will be reviewed and filled as budget allows.
  • Individuals are limited to 100 articles each year (from July 1 to June 30). Additional articles will be approved as budget allows. 
  • For items that cannot be filled through Article Galaxy Scholar, contact us. Include your OHSU user ID (email or barcode) and the citation for the item you need. If we can acquire it, we will provide it to you at no charge subject to the availability of OMB funds.  
  • We reserve the right to limit article requests for individual accounts if usage of this service exceeds the amount of OMB funds available.
