Starting April 24, 2026, all documents submitted to the OHSU Library Digital Collections for publication must meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards. Please note that many older materials housed in our collections may not be fully compliant with the latest Department of Justice (DOJ) accessibility requirements. However, these items will continue to be available in their original form for public access.
We offer assistance in making documents more accessible if needed. To request an accessible version of a document, please fill out the Document Accessibility Request Form below:
Harmful or Offensive Content in Historical Materials:
OHSU Historical Collections & Archives (HC&A) contains historical records that reflect the society and time of their creation. Some materials may include inappropriate or harmful content, which does not align with OHSU's commitment to inclusivity and anti-racism. These items are preserved in their original form to maintain historical integrity and accountability.
Harmful Language in Oral History Interviews:
The OHSU Library also features oral history interviews, capturing personal recollections that may contain offensive language or ideas. However, these narratives should not be viewed as the official history of Oregon Health & Science University or as representative of the institution's current views.
While every effort has been made to provide accurate information within the repository, OHSU cannot guarantee the accuracy of all information, especially when information is obtained through third party sources. The university is not responsible for the content, availability or accessibility of third-party content, or for the accidental/premature disclosure of confidential information and findings.
