This guide offers resources on recruitment and retention strategies for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices in academic health sciences. For resources related to racism and health disparities, please see our collaborative guide with the OHSU Center for Diversity and Inclusion, Resources on Race, Racism and Health Disparities.
The first goal in OHSU's strategic plan, Vision 2020, is to "Be a great organization, diverse in people and ideas." To accomplish this, we must collectively continue to develop a knowledgebase centered on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) that addresses all facets of our work as it relates to our colleagues and community members. In an effort to support the cultivation of teaching and training resources, the OHSU Library has developed a guide of curated reference material related to recruitment and retention strategies for a more diverse staff, student body, and faculty. We hope that this will help enrich our practices in the area of DEI. We welcome your feedback, as well as suggestions for future additions.
