Welcome!
Welcome to OHSU Library's LGBT Health Resource Guide.
Many researchers are currently examining health discrepancies among different populations in our global society. As the LGBT community gains more visibility and representation in wider communities, more research is being conducted looking at the differing health needs of LGBT individuals.
Here we have gathered library, web and community resources that focus on issues that affect LGBT health that could be of interest to both researchers and community members. For example, on the "Library Resources" page we have a list of recommended Subject Headings that have been vetted by the Library of Congress that would be useful in researching LGBT health topics in catalogs or databases. We have also included a list of relevant book titles we have in our collection.
On the second page of this guide, we have put together lists of different community groups that work towards LGBT health equity in the wider community.
If you have any questions, or would like to recommend a resource, don't hesitate to email us!
